Obituary for Shirley A. Rhine (Wise) Shirley A. Rhine, 74, Altoona died Sunday evening February 24, 2019 at her home. She was born February 1, 1945 in Bellwood, daughter of the late Charles Z., Sr. and Helen M. (Brunner) Wise. On June 1, 1963, she married Raymond D. Rhine in Coudersport, and he preceded her in death on June 28, 1998 .

Surviving are a son, Anthony Scott of Altoona; three daughters, Tina M. of Altoona, Beth A. Zeth of East Freedom and Brenda L. Brown of Altoona; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; five siblings, Barton Bruce Wise of Altoona, William Curtis Wise of Williamsport, Janet L. Reed of Altoona, Deborah M. Stevenson in Ohio and Joy Glover of Harrisburg; and longtime friend, David Hawkins of Altoona. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Shaffer and Patricia Gorcheff; and a brother, Sonny. Shirley was a member of Altoona Church of God.

She enjoyed bingo, was an avid bowler, and formerly volunteered her time at the 11th St. Towers. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and family. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb.

28, 2019 and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 at the funeral home, by Pastors Jerry Sneath and Charles Riley. Interment will be at Alto Reste Park, Altoona.
