Mrs. Shirley Chambers Harness, age 59, of Winfield, Tennessee, departed this life on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee, with her loving family by her side. Born December 10, 1959, in Scott County Hospital, She was the daughter of the late Hugh L. and Nina Carroll. She was a member of the New Haven Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ricky Harness, and the father of her children, Steve Chambers;… Read More » two sisters, Elizabeth Eads and Doris Honeycutt; one brother, Billy Carroll; one niece, Melinda Ann Eads; one granddaughter, Lindsey Butler; and one great niece, Paige Harness. She is survived by her children; two daughters, Stacey Cox and husband Jason of Greenback, TN, and Judy Chaney and husband Joe of Winfield, TN, and one son, James Adam Chambers of Winfield, TN; one step-daughter, Heather Harness of KY; sister, Linda Eads and husband Joe; five brothers, James, Robert and wife Katie, David and wife Lissa, Martin, and Max Carroll; nine grandsons, Patrick, Kaleb, Jacob, Chevy, Brody, Caden Chaney, Tyler Honeycutt, Nicolas and Andre Chambers; one step-grandson, Dalton Threet; and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends and best friend, Durita Slaven. Shirley’s wishes were cremation.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 4:00 p.m. until time of celebration of life memorial service at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at New Haven Baptist Church with Bro. John Vernon Thompson officiating. Music will be provided by Greg Jeffers.

Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida is in charge of final arrangements for Mrs. Shirley Dale Chambers.
