Shirley Conners, 80 of Indian River passed away on February 15, 2019 at her home. Shirley was born on October 18, 1938 in London, Ontario, Canada the daughter of William Gallimore and Helen (Walper) Gallimore. She grew up in London until age fifteen when her family moved to Detroit.

She graduated from Redford High School in 1956. In 1973 she married Jim Conners in Cheboygan. Shirley enjoyed fishing, sewing, cooking, baking and helping others.

She also enjoyed Tigers Baseball. Shirley is survived by her children Joe (Elizabeth Anne) Creek III, Laura Decker, and Charlotte Ann (Mark) Krider, grandchildren Brenda Hollopeter, Floyd Hollopeter, Sam Hollopeter, Maigan Hollopeter, Nichole (J.C.) Ettien, Frank Rios, Joseph Creek, Amante Creek, James Creek, and Ryan (Rachel) Decker, great grandchildren Emily Hollopeter, Jacob Hollopeter, Nevaeh Pakulski, Sean Hickman, Ryan Hickman, Amante Creek Jr, and Theo Creek, sister Brenda Faulker, cousin Lynda Conlin, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Conners, and sister in law Darlene Conners.

Services for Shirley will be held on February 22, 2019 at the Lintz Funeral Home in Indian River. Visitation will be from 11-1pm with a funeral at 1pm. Yvonne Lashuay will officiate.

Burial will take place in the Spring at Ohioville Cemetery. Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in memory of Shirley should consider the American Cancer Society. The family was served by the Lintz Funeral Home.
