It is with a mixture of sadness and joy that the family of Barbara Ann Hoig-Marshall announce that she went to be with her Lord on Wednesday January 30, 2019. Barbara enjoyed life by spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed taking walks in the woods and around lakes and rivers.

She also enjoyed music, playing golf, and playing cards and games. Barbara was born on February 8th, 1932. On July 6th, 1949 she married John Hoig and together they raised three children.

She spent many years in and out of the country with her family and husband who had a long career in the US Air Force. They retired in 1970 moving to Pellston. Later in life she moved to Petoskey.

Preceding her in death was her husband John Hoig in 1990 and her second husband Lee Marshall in 2007. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her children Judith Stivers of Petoskey, Richard (Lisa) Hoig of Pellston, and Tamara (Scott) Mallory of Cheboygan, her six grandchildren, her four great grandchildren, and her brother Charles (Barbara) Stocker of Almont, Mi.

Her wish in passing was for her family to hold a grave side service.
