Sibyl J. Deily of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Forestville, MD, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019, at the age of 96. She was born February 25, 1923, in Saucier, MS to Grace [Blackwell] and Floyd Johnson. She graduated with degrees in math and science from the University of Southern Mississippi.

She was a true pioneer in a sense, as very few young ladies attending college majored in those subjects. Sibyl loved to garden, was very involved in her church and for many years, she drove for Meals on Wheels in Forestville. She loved spending time at the beach cottage in Virginia.

The times spent with her family were most treasured by Sibyl. She was the beloved wife of the late Curtis R. Deily and the loving mother of William Deily (Sheila), Charles Deily (Diane) and Grace Hanners (Patrick). She was the grandmother of six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family invites friends to Lee Funeral Home-Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD, on Sunday, March 3 from 1 to 3 pm. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, March 4 at 1 pm at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, MD 20746. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Sibyl J.
