Sid Roberts, June 01, 1924 — October 10, 2018

Obituary for Mr. Sid Roberts Sid Roberts was born on June 1,1924 in Cameron, Texas to his parents William and Delphia Roberts. He was the fourth of seven children. He attended AJ Moore High School in Waco, Texas.

In May of 1942 Sid enlisted in the Navy and later served in the Army and the Air Force, working as a photographer and an aircraft mechanic. On May 23,1954 Sid married Kathryn Nelson, in Kansas City, Kansas. He was dearly loved by Kathryn and their six children: Kenneth, Sheila, Dwayne, Wendy, Wanda and Sidney.

Sid set a fine example for his family as a hard worker, which not only influenced his own children, but grandchildren, nephews, nieces and others. Sid was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 26,1960. He enjoyed fellowship and loving association with the Sherman Park Congregation, San Francisco Congregation, Country Club Plaza Congregation of Kansas City MO, and the Jennings Congregation for over 40 years.

Over the years he enjoyed many good times with his family and friends especially attending Regional Conventions all over the country. Sid lived by the word of God and truly believed in the hope of everlasting life in a paradise on earth where all sickness, pain, sorrow and death will be no more. (Revelations 21 :3,4).

Sid will truly be missed because he was a part of everything in our lives; but we know that we will see him in the “resurrection on the last day”. (John 11 :23-25) Left with memories to cherish are his wife, Kathryn Roberts, his children, Kenneth Roberts (Jeanne), Sheila Bowling, Dwayne Roberts (Yvonne), Wendy Roberts, Wanda Roberts and Sidney Roberts, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
