OBITUARY Sipriano “SIP” Arellano, Jr. October 17, 1948 – September 25, 2018 Sipriano Arellano, Jr. “Sip”, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, September 25th, 2018. He was born October 17th, 1948 in Austin, Texas and was the oldest of three sons to Sipriano Arellano, Sr. and Mary Lou Martinez Arellano. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, who honorably served in the United States Army.

He was awarded the Purple Heart and was most proud of his Combat Infantryman Badge. He worked as a carpenter for many years and always took pride in the quality of his work. His hobbies and special interests included constructing puzzles and spending hours reading about maritime vessels, as he was a ship enthusiast.

Sip was known for being a very hard worker, having a big heart, being a strong person and for his funny, unique sense of humor. He is proceeded in death by his father Sipriano Arellano Sr., mother Mary Lou Martinez Arellano, brother Jesse M. Arellano and former wife Frances Ramirez. He is survived by his brother Gilbert Arellano; daughter Amy Yvonne Castilleja; sons Edward John Arellano and Albert Arellano; grandchildren Victoria Yvonne Reyes, Andrew Daniel Reyes, Veronica Mary Rachel Reyes, Adrianna Marie Castilleja, Tommy Castilleja Jr., Diella Frances Castilleja and JoeVincent Sipriano Castilleja; great grandchildren Madison, Daniella, Nia, Samantha, Audrey, Penelope and many other family members.

Sip will truly be missed. His presence – wisdom, heart, humor and stories will never be forgotten. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas.

Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2018 in the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home followed by a committal service in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. Please visit www. cookwaldencapitalparks.com to share condolences and fond memories with Sip’s family.
