Obituary for Sofia Rosalez Sofia Chavez Rosalez, 91 of Homestead, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, June 16, 2018. Funeral service will be held at the Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn Funeral Home located at 27100 Old Dixie Hwy, Naranja, Florida on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 11am until 1:30pm . A second memorial will be held at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home located at 1702 E. Harrison Avenue, Harlingen, TX, the viewing will be on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 1pm to 9 PM.

A Funeral Mass at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church on Saturday, June 23rd, 2018 at 10:00am. Interment following services at El Muerto Cemetery, the Family Cemetery in Harlingen, Texas. Sofia was born in Harlingen, Texas on July 28.

1926 and moved to Homestead, Florida 54 years ago. Sofia is survived by four children; Rudy Rosalez, Elias Rosalez, Elma Almazan and Calistro (Butch) Rosalez. 17 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren and the rest of her relatives.
