Elmer Lee “Sonny” Neely, age 76 of Rison went to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 21, 2018. He was born April 9, 1942 in Rison, Arkansas to the late Gus and Lillian Neely. Mr. Neely was a logger, truck driver, avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed attending Enon Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Neely, one sister Lois Davidson, and one brother T.E. Neely. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dorothy Neely, children, Cindy Jacobs, Shane Neely, Claudio Neely, one brother J.D. Neely, one sister, Peggy Young, two grandchildren Tommy Jacobs, Ricky Jacobs and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2018 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Prosperity Cemetery. Arrangements by Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
