Obituary for SOPHIA EUNICE STIDAM SOPHIA EUNICE STIDAM, age 93 of Dandridge, TN formerly of Beckley, WV went home to be with her Lord on Friday, October 5, 2018 following a brief illness. She was born in Lillybrook, WV on July 17, 1925 the daughter of the late Lillie Mae and Luther Jennings Lilly. Sophia was a retired Realtor and Homemaker.
She was saved as a young girl and at her passing was a member of Swannsylvania Baptist Church in Dandridge, TN. Her life reflected her love for others and for Christ and she never hesitated to tell you of His love. She loved being with people, reading her bible, laughing and dining out.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Glennis Stidam, a brother, Archie Lilly, a sister, Ethel Lusk, brother-in-law, Eugene Lusk, son, Bobby Joe Williams and son, Jim Stidham. She is survived by brothers and wives, Junior Lilly (Naomi) of Pineville, WV, Arnold Lilly (Donna) of Roanoke, VA and a sister-in-law, Gladys Lilly of Herndon, WV as well as a host of nieces and nephews and special friends. Survived also by special nephew and niece, Dale (Judy) Lusk, Dixie (Steve) Fox of Dandridge, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 8, 2018, 3:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel, Dandridge, TN with visitation from 1:00 to 3:00pm prior to the service. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Hensley and nephew Dale Lusk. Graveside interment services will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 10:00am in Princeton, WV where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
