Funeral services for Spencer “Spence” Keith Basinger, Jr., age 72, will be conducted Friday, May 31, 2019, at 2:30 PM at the Georgia Memorial Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Ken Kerce officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 pm to 2:00pm.

Mr. Spencer Basinger was a native of Saulsberry, NC and had made his home in Milledgeville since the 70’s. He was the son of the late Spencer Keith Basinger and Frances Colley Basinger. He earned his BS degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Tech, a Veteran of the US Army having served 2 tours in Vietnam, a member of the VFW and he was a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Cassandra “Sam” Basinger of Milledgeville and sister, Nancy (Jake) Nance of Saulsberry, NC. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers accepted but for those who wish, please make donations to ARF.
