Stanley C. Kalitan, long-time resident of Guilford, CT, passed away on April 27, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven CT. He was born on December 11, 1941 in Perth Amboy, NJ to Stanley A. and Louise (Thomas) Kalitan and graduated from Carteret High School in 1959. After high school Stan served in the United States Air Force where he created many fond memories stationed in Newfoundland.

Stan married the late Claudia (Boge) Kalitan in 1977 and had two children together, Jennifer E. Beermuender… Read More » of Clinton, CT and Danielle M. Kalitan of Rexford, NY. Stan was a strongly devoted father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and listening to music. In his retirement, Stan enjoyed working on model trains with his grandson Jake.

In addition to his two daughters he is also survived by his two son-in-law’s, Michael Beermuender and Todd Wetzel; six grandchildren, Jake Beermuender, Ella Beermuender, Calvin Wetzel, Melinda Wetzel, Grace Wetzel and Charlotte Wetzel; brother, Edward Kalitan; sister-in-law, Francine Kalitan; and his niece, Sandra Babalis. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, May 2, from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St. Guilford. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 3 at 11a.m. in Westside Cemetery, Three Mile Course, Guilford.
