Star Lee Lyons DeArmond passed away on February 18, 2019. A loving, devoted mother and friend who placed the needs of others before her own. Forever in our hearts, resting peacefully now in the presence of God.

Age 59 years. Married April 17, 1982 to David Paul DeArmond; beloved wife for 37 years. Mother of Star Lee DeArmond, David Paul DeArmond II (Brittany), Darren Scott DeArmond Jr. (Heather), Brandy Lynn DeArmond, Marke Evan DeArmond and [informally adopted] Jenna Marie Durel-August (Richard).

Grandmother of David P. DeArmond III, Faith L. DeArmond, Emberlyne DeArmond, Hayden Gatewood, Hailey Gatewood, Jayda Jacobs, Aryia August, Richard August II. Daughter of the late Thomas Virgil Lyons Sr. of Lockport, LA and the late Vergie Mary Landry-Lyons of Gueydan, LA. Granddaughter of the late George “Jack” Lyons, Marie “Rose” Duhon-Lyons, Columbus Landry, and Ozia Hebert-Landry.

Sister of Diana Landry-Pruitt (Howard), Pauline Lyons-Landry (Dennis), Rose Lyons-Galloway (Hollis), Vergie Lyons-Weems (Mitchell), Ruby Lyons-Sisung (Tim), the late Thomas V. Lyons Jr, Jack V. Lyons, Sylvia Lyons-Selvage and Rodney R. Lyons. Star was a lifelong resident of Gretna, LA. She graduated John B. Ehret High School, Marrero, LA class of 1978; attended Delgado Community College.
