Obituary for Stefan J. “Steve” Borys Stefan J. “Steve” Borys 94 of Peru. Died September 19,2018 in Manor Court of Peru. As was his request there will be no services.

Burial was at St Vincent Cemetery La Salle. Ptak Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Steve was born July 20,1924 in La Salle to George and Anna (Wadas) Borys.

He married Arlene Piltaver October 25,1958 in St Roch’s Church La Salle. Steve was a member of St Mary’s Church Peru. Steve served in the navy as airplane mechanic.

He was a letter carrier for the Peru Post office up till his retirement. Steve is survived by 2 sisters Sophia Safarcyk of South Carolina and Barb Pohar of La Salle. Numerous nieces and nephews and his special extended family Tom and Sue Sickley and their girls Megan, Emily, Molly, Mary and Kelly Considine.
