Stefan P. “Steve” Mielczarek of Newington, passed away unexpectedly of heart failure on May 6, 2018 at the age of 52. He was the youngest son of nine children. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Teresa (Suty) Mielczarek and brother, Ted, along with his partner in life, Janet Hall.

Steve leaves his brothers, Dan, Stan and Ed Mielczarek; sisters, Lydia Lucci Devanney, Jane Tinti Krezinski, Theresa Kollmer, Krisha Morander and several nieces and nephews, as well as his longtime friends. He was a former member of the Tabernacle Baptist in New Britain. He was a rock star in his own life and played to his own tune.

He will be best remembered for his musical talents, sense of humor and charismatic personality. We will always love and miss our brother. At the family’s request, services will be private.

Care of arrangements has been entrusted to the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester.
