Stella Inez Wooten Brown Owens Greer Stella Inez Wooten Brown Owens, 86, wife of Jerry Owens of Belton, died Monday, November 12, 2018 at her residence. Born in Honea Path, SC, she was the daughter of the late Amos Bead Wooten and Ethel Matthews Wooten. She retired from textiles and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are: sons, Charles Edward “Eddie” Brown Jr., of Memphis, TN and Johnny Amos Brown of Millington, TN; daughter, Deborah Brown Slatten of Greer; sister, Elsie Mae Alewine of Honea Path; sister-in-law, Ann Wooten of Honea Path; grandchildren, Zachary Brown, Steven Ray Brown, Christopher Brown, Luke Brown, Matthew Brown, Michelle Strickland, Sean Brown, Scottie Strickland, Patrick Brown and Daniel Strickland; great grandchildren, Dakota Hunter, Nathaniel Strickland, Charlie Hunter, Dawson Strickland, Jenna Strickland, Natalie Strickland, Scottie Strickland, Jr., Ruby Brown and Tristan Brown. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Edward Brown, Sr.; brothers, Bascum Wooten, Claude Wooten, B.A. Wooten, Jack Wooten and Samuel Boyd Wooten; sister, Lucile Wooten Dean. Graveside service will be held 12 noon Friday at Garden of Memories with Rev.

Ryan Stead officiating. The family will receive friends Friday following the service at the cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes.
