Helen Thompson Land, 84, widow of Jack Land, formerly of Easley, died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Summit Place of Anderson. Born in Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Alec Dean and Nellie Marie Henderson Thompson. She was a member of the Foster Parent Program in Pickens County and was of Baptist faith.

Surviving are: son, CJ Land; daughters, Pamela Land of Spartanburg and Shannon Land of Easley; brothers, Jimmy Thompson of Cheddar and Gerald Thompson of LeGrange; sisters, Joyce Thomas of Belton, Beverly Rhodes of Abbeville and Marilyn Thompson of Belton; grandchildren, Jack and Sarah Land, and was loved by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Thompson, and her sister, Betty Loskoski. Service will be held 2pm Sunday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

Dr. Wendell Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday from 1pm until 1:45pm at the funeral home.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. The family will be at their respective homes. Cox Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
