Stephane E. Veilleux, 49, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on September 10, 2018, although he had not been previously diagnosed with any heart problems. He had been in good spirits while at work for his brother’s company: DMC Drywall Systems, when at break time he collapsed into unresponsiveness. Stephane received immediate caring medical attention from his co-workers whom performed CPR until paramedics arrived and then alerted his brother’s of his emergency; he was not alone and did not suffer.
His wife and his family are deeply grateful to the men that were with him and rushed to his aide. They not only meticulously gathered and secured Stephane’s prized tools but also his vehicle, then went to the hospital, where they sat in quiet support of Stephane’s wife and brothers. He was born in St. George, Quebec on February 22, 1969.
The first of four sons born to Jean Guy and Rose; he was raised and educated in St. Benjamin until 1986 when the family moved to New Britain, Connecticut to reside for the next four years. He worked on numerous job sites, including building homes for the native Inuit people on the frigid northern tip of Canada, honing his carpentry skills and gaining life experience. Upon returning to the United States he lived in and around the Nashua area until meeting his future wife Jerene in 2003 while celebrating his 34th Birthday at Jimmy’s sports bar in Hudson, NH. Stephane and Jerene were inseparable from that day on and were married the following Valentine’s Day of 2004.
They made their homes in Litchfield and Derry during their 15 years together with their beloved fur kids: Scoo – B, Daphne, Homer, Buster, Boomer, Ash, Poillu, Fonzi and his wife’s horses. Stephan was a private man of few words but he spoke volumes with his honest sincere actions and work ethic. He was uncommonly kind, had a heart of gold and an unrivaled forgiving spirit.
