Stephanie Smith, 69, went to be with the Lord September 16, 2018. She leaves behind 3 daughters, Carey Smith, Kim (Rob) Chandler, Kelly (Doug) Adams, her sisters Patricia Witter, Mary Kidder, Sue Brown and brother, Michael Rice, 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Stephanie was predeceased by her husband Robert, brothers Win Rice III and John Rice.

Nanny also joins her beloved great granddaughter Kianna in Heaven. Stephanie was a one of a-kind, selfless, empathetic, crafty woman, who could find value in the simplest things, and was considered the glue of the family. Nan was a retired Registered Nurse from Broome Developmental Center.

Worked at Wilson Hospital Pediatrics, Endicott Nursing Home (Absolut), she was a Family Home Care Giver, a 4-H Leader and Volunteer, and Cooperative Extension committee member. Her life’s mission was to help others. A service will be at New Life Ministries on Sunday, September 23rd at 2:00 pm.
