Stephen C. “Artie” DeCarlo, 49, of Heatherbrooke Estates, Muncy, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at his home. Born January 22, 1970 in Philadelphia, he was a son of Robert Caristo and Barbara DeCarlo, both of Philadelphia. In addition he was raised by his step father, Steven Torelli, of Hughesville.

He and his wife, the former Catherine “Katie” Meehan, were married Oct. 30, 2011. Together they celebrated 7 years of marriage.

Artie attended South Philadelphia High School. He worked as a disc jockey for 20 years in the Philadelphia area. Artie was a jack of all trades and also worked as a security guard, handyman and was a fabulous cook.

He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Muncy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Artie enjoyed building model cars and wood crafting. He loved music and played it constantly on his phone.

Surviving in addition to his wife, parents and step father are a sister, Michelle DeCarlo, of Philadelphia; three step brothers, Steven John and Richard Torelli, both of Philadelphia and Michael Torelli, of Hughesville; a step sister, Stephanie Torelli, of Philadelphia; two nieces, Christine Soriano and Deonna Estrada, both of Philadelphia; a nephew, Shawn Phelan, of Philadelphia; mother-in-law, Catherine Meehan, of Muncy; and grandfather, Donald Fuller, of Lock Haven. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Henrietta Fuller; father-in-law, Robert Meehan; and a nephew, BJ Estrada. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23, at the Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, where the Knights of Columbus Honor Guard will be present.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. at the church, with his pastor the Rev. Glenn McCreary, officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016 or online at www. kidney.org.
