Obituary for Stephen Jay Beronja Stephen Jay Beronja, 43, of Battle Creek, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019. He was born February 12, 1975 in Battle Creek, the son of Mil’Anne and Bill Walters and Paul R. Woods. Steve will be sadly missed by his mom and step-dad Bill, whom he loved very much, as well as his sister Shelby Carr and his niece Annie Carr.

He will be missed most of all by his son Typhon Alves-Beronja and his wife Mathia Alves-Beronja. Steve loved his son more than life itself. Steve had a kind heart.

He could talk to anyone and make an instant friend out of them. He never had a holiday with just family because he always brought someone home for dinner, be it an animal or human. Steve is also survived by his best friend, Nathan Childs who was like a brother to him.

Steve had too many friends to name that he left behind, but he loved them all. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
