Stephen R. Burchesky age 70 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Tuesday September 11, 2018 in UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital Pittsburgh with his beloved wife and children by his side. He was born in Utica New York a son of the late Robert Zenon and Anne Jennings Burchesky. Stephen remained in close contact with countless friends through his life; grammar school (Ridgewood; New Hartford, NY), The Manlius Military Academy Old Boys (Syracuse, NY), Union College (Barbourville, KY) peers and swim teammates.

More friendships formed during his time in California (Hollywood, Sherman Oaks) where he owned AVID Productions (Audio-Visual Instructional Design). After moving to Pennsylvania, he started Photography by Burchesky as well as US Life Safety, Inc. a web-based emergency preparedness company with most notable client, FEMA. He established Friends of the Park for Town Park, was a member of the Greater Canonsburg Lion, Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and was a founding father of the Pittsburgh Curling Club.

He is remembered for his loyalty to friends and loved ones, his passion for photography and his creative abilities, especially planning the most outrageous and original parties. Stephen was a member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, etc.

the family requests donations to CUPC, the American Heart Association, the LLS Society or Pittsburgh Curling Club. On July 1, 1989 he married his devoted wife Bonita Linder who survives after 29 years of loving marriage. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his two beloved children Michael Zenon Burchesky and Natalie Linder Burchesky, two brothers; Dr. Kenneth M. Burchesky (Janet Chickering) of Lyndonville Vt.

And R. Douglas Burchesky (Jane) of Walpole, a sister Carole Burchesky Star (Gary Vineyard) of Nashville Tenn. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents is his dear daughter Kathleen A. Burchesky who was born September 11, 1991 and passed away August 2, 1993.

Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday September 16, 2018 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor Darla Tripoli LFD 304 west Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 pm Monday September 17, 2018 in Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church 112 West Pike Street Canonsburg with reverend Don Coleman officiating. Those attending please meet at church.
