Obituary for Stephen “Scoop” Joseph Calzada Stephen “Scoop” Joseph Calzada peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the age of 61. Beloved husband of Cheryl Calzada for 29 years. Son of the late Donald John Calzada and Freida Zintz Calzada.

Father of Chauncy LaFlamme (Todd), Stephen Calzada, Jr., Kristi Calzada, Jason Bourgeois and Ryan Bourgeois (Jessica). Survived by 11 grandchildren and his canine companion, Missy. Brother of Sara Fernandez (Louis), Jill Antill (Jake) and the late Donald J. Calzada, Jr. Stephen is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by 1 grandchild. He was born in New Orleans, LA and was a resident of Lafitte, LA for 35 years. He proudly served his country while enlisted in the United States Air Force.

Stephen was an active member of the Buckhorn Hunting Club. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Cancer Society or Children’s Hospital of New Orleans in memory of “Scoop”. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 9AM until 1PM.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1PM. Interment will be privately held at a later date. Family and friends may offer condolences at www.
