Steve Charles Yockey, 66, of Massillon, died Saturday at Rose Lane Nursing Home, in Massillon. Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Online tributes may be made at www. RobertsFuneralHome.com.

Steve was born April 10, 1952 in Wooster, Ohio to Curtis and Nona {Post} Yockey. He served in the US Air Force. He married Carrie Howard.

He retired from Telcom Construction in 2018. He enjoyed working with metal and grilling. Steve will be deeply missed by his children Brian of Massillon; step-children Lisa of Wooster, Jerome (Marlana), Tracy of Massillon, Rickey of Massillon; 15 grandchildren; brothers Shannon (Nancy) of Wooster and Pete (Carol) of FL.

Steve was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey and parents.
