Obituary for Steve Randall Head Steve “Micky” Randall Head died at Merit Health Wesley Hospital on October 9, 2018 at 12:04 PM in Hattiesburg, MS due to complications following pneumonia and ARDS. He was 72 years old. Micky was born on September 20, 1946 in Poplarville, MS to his parents, Steve and Lorena Head.

He married Lynn Williamson in 1990. The Heads moved to Purvis, MS where Steve worked as a truck driver. He retired in 2016 and dedicated his time to his wife and grandchildren.

Mickey liked to fish until he ran out of patience. He loved watching his westerns, especially those with John Wayne. He even bought a dog from a friend and named him “Dog” after the dog in the John Wayne movie, “Big Jake”.

He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He never sat still for very long. He thought that if he was up doing something, then you should be up doing too.

Sometimes, he could be agitating like that. Micky is preceeded in death by his wife, Lynn Head; his granddaughter, Emmalynn Lorenthia Williamson; his parents, Steve and Lorena Head; his brother, Leo Head; and his sister, Pauline Seals. Micky is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Jennifer Head of Brewton, Alabama; son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Christi Williamson of Purvis, MS; daughter, Emily Williamson of Purvis, MS; his grandchildren, Austin Head of Brewton, Alabama; Dalton Head of Purvis, MS; Matthew Head of Brewton, Alabama; Ashlyn Williamson of Purvis, MS; Steven Head of Brewton, Alabama; Scotty Williamson of Purvis, MS; and Gracie Head of Brewton, Alabama; his siblings J.D. Head of Franklin, Arkansas; Buster Head of Beaumont, MS; Bernice Broadus of Saucier, MS; Cleo Awrey of Poplarville, MS; and Alice Wanack of Peoria, Illinois.

Visitation will be at Okahola Baptist Church at 11:00 am on October 11, 2018. Service will follow at 2:00 PM. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Steve Randall Head please visit our Sympathy Store.
