Steven Scott Leach, 47, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at his residence. Scott was born on April 19, 1971, the son of Steve and Nancy (Bischoff) Leach. Scott was a groundskeeper at the University of Illinois Springfield, he also served as Vice President of the Rochester Historical Preservation Society.

He was one of the founders of the Rochester Farmers’ Market and a member of Wolf Crick Boys. Scott graduated from Rochester High School in 1989 and went on to study architecture at Mississippi State University. He is survived by his parents, Steve and Nancy Leach; two sisters, Leslie (John) Preuss and Laurie (Jason) Farmer; one nephew, Jack Preuss; and two nieces, Alice and Maryn Farmer.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Wilson Park Funeral with Pastor Brian Caughlan officiating. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the Rochester Historical Preservation Society.
