Steven M. Swanson Steven M. Swanson, 56, of Geneseo, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at his home. Cremation has been accorded and a private graveside service will be held on Monday, November 19 at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Memorials may be directed to the Steven Swanson Memorial Fund.

Vandemore Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. Steven was born on December 25, 1961, the son of Darrell and Norma (Wirth) Swanson, in Geneseo, IL. He attended Geneseo High School.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator, and worked through local labor unions. Steven was united in marriage to Kimberly Beuseling, on March 23, 1985. They later divorced.

Steve was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Norma, his children, Brandi (Kyle) Russell, and Austin Swanson, both of Davenport, IA, brother, Terry (Carol) Swanson, of Paris, TX and two nieces, Tabatha and Scarlett Swanson. Steven was preceded in death by his father, Darrell and his son, Scott Swanson.
