Stewart Alan James was born August 31, 1973, in Claremore, OK to Losanna Joann (Little) Bark & Bobby Lee James. He departed this life on Sunday, December 2, 2018 in Tulsa, OK, at the age of 45 years, 3 months, & 2 days. Stewart was a graduate of the Tahlequah High School Class of 1992 where he played basketball & football.

Stewart had worked as a pole barn builder. He has a knack & enjoyment for working on cars. He had a vast knowledge about mechanics.

Stewart loved to listen to Classic Rock & was a big time OU Sooners fan. Above all, Stewart treasured the time he spent with his children. He loved his family very much.

He will be missed dearly by those that knew & loved him. Stewart is survived by: 4 sons: Elias James, Kordell James, Jesse James & Tobin James, all of Tahlequah, OK; his mother: Losanna Bark of Chouteau, OK; 3 brothers: Elec Smith of Mazie, OK, Steven Smith of Mazie, OK & Dom Smith of Tahlequah, OK; 2 sisters: Kahaulanie Standingwater of Tahlequah, OK & Brandy Smith of Mazie, OK; A special aunt: Sharon Little of Locust Grove, OK; His mother-in-law: Cleta Huntley of Tahlequah, OK; Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, & a host of friends. Stewart was preceded in death by: his father: Bobby James; his maternal grandparents: Reverend Clarence Little and Mary Little Camp; his paternal grandparents: Jesse & Betty James; 1 aunt: Etta “Boo” Potts; & 1 uncle: Marvin Little.

A traditional wake service will begin at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at the Little Rock Indian Baptist Church east of Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the Little Rock Indian Baptist Church. Reverend Larry Harrison and Reverend Thomas Little will officiate.

Burial will follow at Grass/New Jordan Cemetery near Salina, Oklahoma.
