Stewart Thomas Jones, 60, of Mt. Sterling, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at his residence in Mt. Sterling.

He was born in Carlisle on March 27, 1958 to the late William Frank and Emma Lee Berryman Jones. Stewart moved to the area fifteen years ago from Carlisle. He was a Baptist, retired farmer and in his later years worked locally maintaining various properties in and around the Montgomery County area.

Stewart enjoyed being around others, having a good laugh and fishing. He will be dearly missed by friends and family. Survivors include; siblings Rick Jones of Lexington, Ronnie Jones of Paris, Evelyn Moore of Mt.

Sterling and Alpha Harrington of Paris; nephews Wayne Conkright of Paris, Chris Spence of Mt. Sterling, Dillon Propst of Owingsville and Austin Lawson of Mt. Sterling; nieces Kaitlynn Propst, Destiny Hudnall and Tammy Bellamy all of Mt.

Sterling and special friend Shari Purvis of Mt. Sterling. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by eight siblings.
