Whiteville: Su Van Nguyen, 86 of Whiteville died Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Whiteville. He was the son of the late Bieu Nguyen and Huong Tran and was preceded in death by Hien Nguyen and My Van Nguyen. He served as a police officer in Vietnam for over 10 years.

Survivors include his daughters, Hien Nguyen (Quan Dinh) of Whiteville and My Van Nguyen (Phuc) of Whiteville. , sisters; Nhu Hoa Nguyen and No Nguyen, both of Vietnam. 4 Grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass Service will be Friday, May 24, 2019 at McKenzie Mortuary Chapel at 4:00 pm with Reverend Joseph Yaeger officiating. Visitation will be Friday at McKenzie Mortuary from 2:00 until 3:45 pm prior to the service.
