Sue Carol Ham Thigpen, 76, of Beulaville passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Noah Holton and Essie Creel Ham and son Michael Ray Benson. She is survived by her husband Malcolm Earl Thigpen, daughters Deborah Gail Stallings and special friend Paul, Melissa Benson Mitchell and husband Frank, and step-daughter Tammy Thigpen, son Dwight Allen Benson and wife Rita, grandchildren Shannon Denise Beaman and husband Lee, Franklin E Mitchell, II and wife Amanda, Matthew Blake Benson and wife Sheri and Travis David Benson and special friend Amanda, step-grandchildren Candice Chambers and Nolan Outlaw, great-grandchildren Kelsi Swinson, Annagail Mitchell and Jaymi Benson and sister Martha Jane Simpkins.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
