Sue E. Mijal, 61, of Wausau, WI, passed away at Aspirus Hospital, on October 11, 2018, with her family at her side. She was born on April 2, 1957, to LeRoy and Audrey (Steiner) Engman. She married Dennis Mijal on October 18, 1974, at St. Michaels Catholic Church, in Wausau.

She is survived by her husband, the love of her life and high school sweetheart, her sons Douglas (Cinda), Daniel (Becky), David (Sarah), and her grandchildren Jayden, Joey, Noah, Emma, Oliver and Jerry. She… Read More » is further survived by her mother Audrey, sisters Christine Stone, Donna (Roger)Brodjieski, Paulette Verhoven, brother, Randy (Darlene) Engman, mother-in-law, RoseAnn Mijal, sister-in-law, JoAnn (Kim)White, brother-in-law, Scott (Dawn) Mijal and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Sue was preceded in death by her father, LeRoy, sister Patricia Swemke, father-in-law, Joseph Mijal, brothers-in-law, Gary Stone, Don Verhoven, Gerald Mijal and, sister-in-law, Sherry Mijal.

Sue was happiest being a Wife, Mom, Grandmother and Homemaker. She enjoyed traveling, trips to casinos, watching her Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR races. Sue passed away after a very short, but difficult battle with cancer.

Although struggling, she never failed to put others first, always saying, “Don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine”. Sue will be forever missed by Dennis, her family and her many friends. Visitation will be at Buettgen Funeral Home in Schofield from 10am – 12pm, with a service at noon.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Sue’s name to help with medical expenses.
