Obituary for Mrs. Sue Lankford Wilkerson Sue Lankford Wilkerson, 96, wife of the late William Luther Wilkerson died in on September 16, 2018 at Edenwald Retirement Community. Born in Pocomoke, Maryland she was the daughter on Arthur W. Lankford and Meta Sterling Lankford. Sue was a teacher in the Baltimore City Schools for 20 years until her retirement in 1985.

She was faithful member of Grace Methodist Church, and past member of Waverly Methodist church, Pitts Creek Presbyterian Church, Roland Park Women’s Society and former owner of a cottage at Emory Grove in Monkton. Sue and her husband enjoyed traveling to see their family and friends to all parts of the globe which included Germany, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland. She kept her mind sharp by playing Sudoku, Cross Word Puzzles, Bridge and other card games like UNO, Phase Ten, and Rummy.

She was a fierce competitor. She kept herself in shape by walking each day and utilized the indoor track at Edenwald to walk a mile each day as she was able. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, model parent, fantastic mother, gentle sole, devoted friend to many and she will be sorely missed.

Mrs. Wilkerson is survived by a daughter Susan Wilkerson Kueser of Charlotte, NC and a son William Lankford Wilkerson of Baltimore, MD, her son-in-law Dr. Thomas Joseph Kueser of Charlotte, NC three grandchildren Courtney Kueser Boyette of Raleigh, NC; Lindsey Christine Kueser of Charlotte, NC, and Christopher William Kueser of Springfield, VA and several adoring relatives in Pennsylvania and South Carolina.
