Susan Jean Komer, 67, passed away on Sunday, September 30 2018 at her home in Borden, Indiana. She was born on July 14, 1951 to the late Earl and Gloria Jean Meredith in Ft. Knox Kentucky.

Mrs. Komer was a retired over the road truck driver. Survivors include her husband, Bob Komer of Borden, Indiana, her sons, John Shields, Jr. (Phyllis) of Memphis, Indiana, Stephen Shields of Jacksonville, Florida, her brothers, Eddie Meredith (June) of Louisville, Allen Meredith of Louisville, George Meredith (Debbie) of Taylorsville, Kentucky, Timmy Meredith of Louisville and her two sisters, Debbie Hazelwood (Garry) of Louisville and Kim McHugh (Dan) of New Albany, Indiana. Mrs. Komer also leaves behind 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with cremation to follow. Visitation will take place on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
