Obituary for Suzumi Sagara Suzumi Sagara, age 85, of Warren, formerly of Chevy Chase, Maryland, passed away September 29, 2018. She was born and raised on the island of Kyushu, Japan. Suzumi was a nurse in Japan and moved to America in 1954 and worked at the Sheraton Cadillac in Detroit.

She later moved to Maryland and worked as a payroll administrator. Following retirement she enjoyed working as a tour guide in Washington D.C. Suzumi is survived by her grandson, Dylan Thrift and daughter in law, Tina Thrift. She was predeceased by her husband, David Glancy; son, Curtis Thrift and Curtis’ father, Fred Thrift.

Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will take place at a later date. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home, China Twp. www.
