OBITUARY Sylvia Todd Porteous November 11, 1936 – September 4, 2018 Sylvia Todd Porteous passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at the age of 81. She was the Daughter of Dr John David Todd and Louise Greve Todd of Houston,TX. She attended Sophie Newcomb College and Graduated from University of Texas- Austin with a Masters degree in English.

Taught High school English and History in Houston. She subsequently served as senior manager for the Todd family company, Cambe Geological Services, in Houston and New Orleans. Sylvia was an active member in numerous local organizations including St Lazarus, English Speaking Union, and the Orleans Club.

She enjoyed international travel with husband William Alexander Porteous III before his death in 2006. She survived her first husband, Howard Jordan, and her son David Jordan. Surviving Mrs. Porteous is her Daughter Laura Frances Jordan of New Orleans, and her step daughter Keith Porteous Mead of New Orleans and stepson William Dockery Porteous of NYC.

A private memorial service will be held at later date.
