Tamara’s Obituary Tamara Gail Wimmer, 59, of Denton passed away on January 29, 2019 in Denton. She was born in Dallas, Texas to James L. and JoAnn (Ballard) Blackburn on December 11, 1959. Tamara owned and operated her own trucking company working as a contractor for the US Post Office.

She previously worked at UPS for over 10 years. Tamara loved living life to the fullest and having fun. She was happiest spending time with her children, their friends, and her significant other, Eric Johns.

She loved going to the beach and searching for treasures. Her dream was to retire in Florida with Eric, her dogs, plants, and classic station wagon. Tamara will be missed dearly by many as she became fast friends with anyone she met.

She is survived by her daughter, Tessa Wimmer, son, Trent Wimmer of Denton and brother, Mark Blackburn and his wife, Jeanne, of Mabank, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother and father and ex-husband, Jeff Wimmer. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 4:00 PM.
