Tammy B. Coast-Tingley, 60, of Limestone, NY, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 9, 1958 in Bradford, a daughter to the late Lois Stilson Coast. She was a 1976 graduate of the Smethport Area High School.

On July 22, 1978 in Smethport, she married Jerome B. Tingley, who survives. She was a member of the Lt. John C. Roche Post 212 VFW and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and… Read More » the Relay for Life for many years.

Tammy also tutored many people in the area; teaching them to read and write and she also babysat for many local children as well. She was employed by the former Hannum Home, Bradford, for several years until she decided to raise a family. In addition to her husband of forty years, Jerome “Jerry” Tingley of Limestone, she is also survived by two sons, Brent Tingley of Limestone and Ryan (Jess) Tingley of Albuquerque, NM; one daughter, Beth (Eric Peters) Tingley of Bradford; four sisters, Cindy Cooper of North Platte, NE, Ginger Coast of Orchard Park, NY, Candy (Doyle) Bettis of Mineral Wells, TX and Sue (Doug) Johnson of Oil City; four nieces and nephews that she thought of as her own, Mike Rounsville, Dawn Reid, Jeff Rounsville and Angela Rounsville; two granddaughters, Maia Lois Peters and Grace Tingley; three other children that she was also “Nanny” to, Megan Haines, Jamie Stoltz and Ally Luke and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her mother she was also preceded in death by one sister, Judy Coast-Smith. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Bradford First Church of the Nazarene with a memorial service to immediately follow at 6:00 PM with the Rev. Josh Haney officiating.

Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
