Silver Springs – Tanya M. Cowart, 71, passed away March 3, 2019 surrounded by her family. Born January 19, 1948, in Ocala, FL, to Elbert Edward McDonald and Edith Vera Cowart. She has resided in Ocala all of her life.

She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and enjoyed spending time with big family gatherings and cookouts. Tanya also loved to do upholstery work. She is preceded in death by her parents and sons, Mark and Stacy Cowart; and brothers Edward Laval and Elbert Michael McDonald.

Tanya is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Tony Cowart; children, Patty Arredondo, Craig Cowart (Donna), Lori Peebles (Lamar), Deidra Cowart; sisters, Marie and Mona McDonald; brothers, Robert and Russell Gravitz; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and her best friend Cathy Newton. Memorial service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL, with Pastor Blaine Whitt officiating.
