Edgefield, SC……. Mrs. Teresa Fulkrod Chance, 64, wife of the late Lonnie Chance, entered into rest on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at University Hospital. Her memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in the Rowland Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

Doug Puckett officiating. Inurnment will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Teri had a spark and a laugh that you wouldn’t ever forget; she loved helping other people. One of her greatest joys in life were the years she served as a para pro at Midland Valley High School. Not only did she leave a lasting impression with her students, she also warmly welcomed new staff members to make them feel at home.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, David and Richard Fulkrod; her brother in law, John Ackalitis and her nephew, John J. Ackalitis. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Chance Myers (Jonathan); her son Cameron Chance; grandchildren, Emma and Ethan Myers, all of North Augusta and Peyton Chance of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Mary Fulkrod Ackalitis of Dumont, NJ, Nancy Fulkrod Brinkerhoff of Salt Lake City, UT; nephews, William Ackalitis, Walter Brinkerhoff, Aaron Brinkerhoff (Christina), Jeremy Chance and Ronnie Chance (Michelle); nieces, Joy B. Patten (Timothy), Jennifer Chance and Pam Talley; great nephews, Seamus Martin, Preston, Jared and Jesse Chance and a great niece, Brandi Talley. The family would like to say a special word of thanks to her dear friends, Martha Hatcher, Beth Broome, Teresa Lord, and Merilyn Hughes who have been a support for her since her paralyzing stroke in 2008.

They would also like to thank the staff at Ridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Edgefield for the care they provided; the doctors and nurses at University Hospital who treated her after her stroke and fought to save her 10 years later. Lastly a thank you to Kristie and Debbie Jones and Rev. Puckett for the support given to the family during their times of need.
