Tess E. Braaksma Tess E Braaksma, born Tjitske Anna Braasksma, on April 1, 1948, in Leeuwarden Friesland, Netherlands to Jilt Albert Braaksma and Tjitske (Jessie) Braaksma (Smedes) passed away on November 7, 2018, at Denver Hospice. She was the mother of Krista Braaksma and Rebecca Davila, and grandmother to Benson Becker. Preceded in death by brother Harry Braaksma, she is survived by her remaining siblings: Christine Jobe, Jan Braaksma, Henry Braaksma, and Gretta Degner.

In 1953, Tess immigrated with her parents to the US and settled in Colorado. She was a student at Denver Christian and South High School. She retired in 2016 after working for Wal-Mart for twelve years.
