Theresa Ann (Hambley) Askey, age 92 of Camp Hill, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hastings, PA. on June 27, 1926 and was a daughter to the late William and Nora (McMullen) Hambley.

She married Charles “Chic” Askey on July 19, 1945 and the marriage was blessed for seventy loving years until Charles’s passing in 2015. Theresa was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She was a person of many talents but her focus was always on family, friends, and community service.

Theresa was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and the Cootiette Club where she served as a state president. She had a passion to serve our veteran service men and women. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary, Edith, Bridget, Norma, Richard, Joseph, William, Phillip, Ivan, and Harry.

Surviving are her children, Sandra (Rick) Adams of Churchville, Bonita Shearer of Camp Hill, Charles (Sharon) of Mechanicsburg, Richard (Edward) of Etters, granddaughters, Tammy (Michael) Smith, Tina (John) Fairchild, Tricia Schmidt, Jessika (Adrian) Best, Tianna (Matt Showers, Dayna (Zach) Ansley, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her brother Damian Hambley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM.

at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. A viewing will be held at church from 9 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 10:30 AM.

Those who would like to join in the procession to the cemetery please be at the funeral home by 9:30 AM Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shephard Church or the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The Musselman Funeral Home Is Honored To Serve The Askey Family.
