Theresa Molta passed away on Saturday, May 11 at the age of 87 years old at University Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She lived a life full of love and generosity. People gravitated towards her sweet nature and loving spirit.

She was a lifelong communicant of St. Cecilia Church in Solvay, NY. She enjoyed being a part of the Solvay Tigers and Solvay Seniors groups where she enjoyed spending time with the great friends she had met throughout her full life. Theresa is predeceased by her sister and brothers, Michael DiIorio, Robert DiIorio, and Mary (Louis) Soldo.

She is also predeceased by her precious great grandson, Roman. She leaves behind her children, Richard (Donna), Dottie, Teri (Mark), and three grandchildren, Michael (Shari), Jessica (Bobby), Kristen (William), sisters-in-law, Millie DiIorio, Diane DiIorio and Norma Molta. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loves very much.

The world will have a little less sparkle now, but we know that her loving husband of 55 years, Gilbert, is waiting to take her hand and lead her home to be with God. We know for sure she is in Heaven because having her here with us was like having Heaven on earth. We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Upstate University Hospital.

No, we love YOU more. Funeral services will be held 8:45 am Wednesday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am at St. Cecilia Church, Solvay, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
