Therlo Jenner May 30, 1937-May 3, 2019 Therlo Jenner, 81, of Michigan City, passed away Friday May 3, 2019 at his home with his family. He was born May 30, 1937 in Balch, Arkansas, the son of the late William Jenner and Cora (Milan) Jenner . Therlo retired in 2008 after working 36 years as an inspector for Sprague Devices in Michigan City.

He served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Galena Baptist Church in La Porte. Therlo enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling with his family in their R.V. and attending gospel concerts.

On August 25, 1973, in Michigan City, Indiana, he married Marcia (Martine) Jenner who survives. He is also survived by his son, Clem (Monica) Jenner of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters, Dawn Jenner and Kim Sammelman both of Michigan City; two sisters, Earnestine Taylor of Yorktown, IN and Carol Jenner of Michigan City, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Therlo was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Layman, brothers, Therman, Danny and Euel “Reb” Jenner, sisters, Frida Dickens, Geraldine Vacendale, Roberta Kirkland and Wilma Bracy.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave. , LaPorte, where the family will receive friends Friday, May 10, 2019 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Saturday, May 11, 2019, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Saturday May 11, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jason Baker and Pastor Ron Bauer officiating.

Cremation to follow. The family would like to thank Joy Mercer and Chris Herron with Unity Hospice for their care and support along with his caregiver, Marry Anne Laskoske. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tubular Sclerosis Alliance, 801 Roeder Rd, Suite 750, Silver Springs, MD 20910 or to the National Dementia Association, 1100 W. Norway Ave.
