Thomas’ Obituary Thomas A. Lambert, 73, of the Town of Sugar Camp, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital. Thomas was born on Sunday, February 3, 1946 in Rhinelander, the son of Ralph and Florence (Basler) Lambert. He was raised in the Town of Pelican and had worked on the family farm.

Tom also assisted with logging. He was employed with Pitlik and Wick Inc. Contractors beginning in the mid 1970’s and continued working there for the next thirty-two years. Tom retired in 2007 as the Hot Plant Operator.

He was united in marriage on January 18, 2007 to Judy M. Smith. Thomas enjoyed a good campfire, gardening, fishing, camping, traveling to Florida, car shows and taking care of electrical work. But most of all, Thomas loved and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He will be remembered for being a good caretaker of his family and for his generosity and his kindness. He will be dearly missed by his wife; Judy, children; Jeff Lambert of Sugar Camp and Jackie (Dewey) Lewis of Sugar Camp, step-daughter; Jackie (Damon) Meirhofer of Rhinelander, three grandchildren; Rylee Lewis, Jeffrey and Marlie Lambert, two step-grandchildren; Nicole (Josh) Marten of Rhinelander, Joe (Cassie) Meirhofer of Rhinelander, four step-great-grandchildren, sister; Marion (Bill) Belongia of Starks, twin brother; John (Nora) Lambert of Jesup, Georgia, sisters; Mary (David) Weyers and Helen Johnson of Rhinelander and sister-in-law; Beverly Lambert of Tomahawk, WI. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother; Ralph “Jim” Lambert and a brother-in-law; Glen Spafford. A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Sugar Camp Town Hall, located at 4059 Camp 4 Road, Rhinelander, Wisconsin 54501, from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Food will be served during the times of the Celebration of Life.
