Thomas A. Uhrin, 65, of Covington Twp died on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at home. His wife, the late Roseann (Natale) Uhrin, died on October 4, 2015. Born in Scranton, he was the son of Bette (Stupak) Uhrin of Scott Twp and the late Andrew Uhrin.

Tom graduated from Bishop Hannon High School and was a member of The Church of Saint Catherine of Siena in Moscow. He worked as a manager of several area grocery stores and also as a plate maker at the Scranton Tribune. Tom enjoyed helping… Read More » others no matter what their need.

He liked participating in antique tractor pulling competitions and looked forward to a trip to the casino with his mom, Bette. In addition to his mom, Tom is survived by his sons: Michael Uhrin and his wife Katie of New Milford, CT and Brian Uhrin of Covington Twp; his siblings: Michaline Yurkovic and her husband Thomas of Poughkepsie, NY, Cheryl Boyarsky and her husband Edward of Scott Twp and Paul Uhrin and his wife Leslie of Scranton; his grandchildren: Andrew and Caleb Uhrin and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will begin on Monday, October 22 at 9:30am from Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, LLC 3 First St in Spring Brook Twp with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in The Church of Saint Catherine of Siena, 220 Church Street in Moscow to be celebrated by Father Robert J. Simon.

Interment with Rite of Committal will follow in Saint Catherine’s Cemetery in Covington Twp. Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 21 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 712 South Keyser Ave.
