Thomas Bartlett Sims of Saginaw passed away March 24, 2019 at Covenant Cooper at the age of 84 years. Thomas was born September 26, 1934 in Kitchener, Ontario to George and Mary Sims. After graduation from college he taught grade school near Chatham, Ontario for a few years.

He moved to Saginaw in the early 1960’s from Chatham, Ontario where he was a member of the Wellington – Victory Lodge #46 F & A M. He was also a member of the Elf Khurafeh Shrine of Saginaw, and the Scottish Rite of Bay City. He also organized the Saginaire Drum and Bugle Corp. and was a former member of the Saginaw J C’s.

Thomas was a member of the Methodist faith. He married Jean Sherman in Saginaw in 1975, where he was a real-estate salesperson and later a computer programmer and installed home computers from Michigan to Florida until his retirement. Surviving are his wife, Jean and his 4 children; Bill (Gina) Sims of Texas, Susan Sims of New York, Sharon Sims of Pennsylvania, Thomas (Penny) Sims Pennsylvania; 9 grandchildren Kimberly (Tom) Anderson, George Sims, Brittonie Fletcher, Tryston Fletcher, Rustin Landis, Richard Landis, Sienna Landis, Shenandoah Sims and Ian Sims; 2 great grandchildren; 1 brother George Sims of Chatham, Ontario.

Cremation has taken place per Thomas wishes, no services are planned at this time. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home of Saginaw.
