Thomas Charles Healy , August 15, 1940 — December 23, 2018

Thomas Charles Healy Thomas (Tom) Healy passed away December 23, 2018 at his home in Florissant, Colorado surrounded by his loved ones. He was 78 years old. Tom was born in Montour Falls, New York on August 15, 1940.

He graduated from Watkins Glen Central School in 1958. After graduation, Tom started working at the local Teemleys Market for two years. He then enlisted into the United States Air Fore in 1960.

Over the years of his service he received numerous medals and ribbons. He was very proud to serve his country. Tom retired from the Air Force in 1980, receiving an honorable discharge.

His determination to provide the very best for his family and strong work ethic commenced his next career with the United States Post Office. He retired in 2000 after 20 years. Tom absolutely loved the mountains, learning about his Irish heritage and every aspect of the Native American culture.

He enjoyed guns, shooting and reloading bullets. He was a collector of many things. He held his family and friends dear to his heart.

Tom cherished his time spent with them and looked forward to family gatherings. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Alberta Healy and their three fur kids of Florissant, Colorado; daughter, Robin Rupp of Cripple Creek, CO; son, Tom T. Healy and his wife Christine of Colorado Springs; granddaughters, Chandra Healy of Florissant, CO and Danika Abastta and her husband Aldo of Woodland Park, CO; sister Patricia Webb (Healy) of Tucson, AZ; niece, nephew and cousins and many loving friends. H was preceded in death by his parents, Clement and H. Elaine of Watkins Glen, NY and his sister, Jeannette Moss (Healy) of Millport, NY.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. Please join us to celebrate the life of the most kindhearted, honorable man, that was an amazing husband, father and grandpa to us. Services will be held at Mountain Memorial Funeral Home, Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
