Thomas E. Rado, 67, of Bellevue passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at his home. He was born May 28, 1951 in Ashland, Ohio the son of George N. and Dolly Louise (Dilgard) Rado. Tom was a United States Navy Veteran and member of American Legion Post 46 and VFW Post 1238.

He loved playing chess with his co-workers at Delphi where he worked for 30 years until retiring in 2004. He enjoyed gardening, refinishing Antique furniture, shopping for and collecting assorted vintage treasures, and fishing as a former charter boat captain of “Get-The-Net”. Tom was a Stein Hospice volunteer at the Ohio Veterans Home.

He will be remembered for his exceptional sense of humor, kindness, and generosity. He is survived by his wife, Laurie M. (Deming) Rado, whom he married August 28, 1980 at Ebenezer UMC, Flat Rock; sisters, Janice (Herman) Rado Stoner of Bellevue and Deborah Rado of Soccoro, New Mexico; sister-in-law Joyce Rado, Ashland, OH and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Rado.

Friends will be received on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where a funeral service officiated by Rev. Diane Carter will begin on Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
