Thomas F.’s Obituary Thomas Franklin Roach Sr., longtime resident of Floresville, Texas passed away Wednesday morning, February 6th, 2019, in Floresville at the age of 79. Also known as Tommy to many, and Tom to others…Thomas was born to Roy Lee Roach and Teresa Gillespie Roach in Flushing, New York, on November 3rd, 1939. Thomas attended school in North Carolina and then proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Military Policeman from 1958-1965.

It was during this time while stationed in Berlin, Germany, that he met the love of his life, Rita Brummer, and was married on October 31st, 1962. Tom began his career in the forklift and equipment industry and did so for 35 years. After “retiring”, Tom proudly drove a school bus serving the community for the Floresville ISD.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife of over 56 years, Rita Roach of Floresville, Texas; brother, Roy Roach (wife Coletta) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; children, Diane Bolduc (husband Russell) of Canyon Lake, Texas and Thomas Roach Jr. (wife Sherry) of Bulverde, Texas; and grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, Rebecca, Matthew, Kellie and Kate.
